If you have
any questions not answered below, please give us a call at 972-980-8838.
Where are you
located?
In Dallas, we are near the Galleria Mall just off LBJ Freeway. We are
two blocks west of the North Dallas Tollway on Alpha Road (at the railroad
tracks). The address is 4887 Alpha Road Suite 295.
How do I book
my session?
Generally, appointments are available within 2-3 weeks, except during
peak times. We can assist you between 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Tuesday through
Friday, either by phone or in person. After-hours' appointments are available.
Prepayment of the session fee is required at time of booking.
Do I have to
come in for a consultation?
We encourage our clients to come in for a planning session to discuss
clothing, lifestyles, portrait sizes, special needs, etc. If you are
a new client, it is especially helpful for you to see the kind of work
we do, as well as for us to get to know each other.
How much are
your session fees and portraits?
Our session fees start at $65 for in-studio and garden sessions and
$125 for outdoor location sessions. The minimum portrait investment
is $300 for studio sessions and $1000 for outdoor sessions. Please call
for pricing on individual sizes. A 50% deposit is due at the time your
order is placed. We accept cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard and Discover
cards.
What if my child
has a rash, bruise, scratch, etc. on the day of the session?
Minor skin problems can be retouched easily and are not expensive. You
should reschedule if 1) the child is ill 2) has lots of chicken pox
marks 3) lots of rash or redness 4) pink eye or black eye 5) cut his/her
own hair the day before.
What if I need
to reschedule the session?
Rescheduling is usually not a problem, unless it is an outdoor session
and we have a short time frame in which to get it done. If a child is
sick or just feeling sick, please call to reschedule. Please give us
as much notice as possible. For outdoor sessions, we will call you on
the day of the session if we have rain, too much wind, too cold, etc.
How long does
a session take?
We allow an hour for most regular sessions. The actual time in front
of the camera is about twenty to forty-five minutes. In the case with
young children, the extra time allows them to get comfortable in the
studio.
What should
I/we wear?
Clothing selection is very important in creating a professional portrait.
Most of the time spent in the planning meeting is devoted to discussing
clothing.
Important points
to keep in mind: 1) Coordinate colors among all in the group. 2) Solid
colors work best. 3) Most adults appear better with long sleeves. 4)
Classic, timeless looks are always good. 5) Dark colors minimize size.
6) Wear colors which are flattering to your skin tones.

Tips.
How will I view
my portraits?
You will view your images on our electronic projection system. We will
be able to show the images within 3-4 business days of the portrait
appointment. Our system allows us to show images up close, as well as
demonstrate cropping possibilities and look for retouching needs. It
is important that you bring anyone with you that may have interest in
ordering from the session.
We want a portrait
of a group of a group of 15 family members. Three families are out-of-town
and coming in for a special occasion. What can you do for us and how
will the out-of-town families view the images?
We can photograph a group of 20 in our studio which is almost always
easier than trying to schedule an outdoor portrait. We do take family
groups to the park, but suggest a back-up plan in case of bad weather
or late arrivals. We can rush process the session for viewing later in the day.
I have a hard
time making decisions. What can I do?
Bringing someone with you to help with the decisions is usually best.
Also, we know which images will look best in print and can advise you.
Sizes are a personal choice, so it is best that you have a general idea
of wall portrait sizes and gift print sizes before you make the order
appointment. It will be best if you consider your needs before the order
appointment. If you wish to purchase gifts for friends and family, you
may need to make out a list ahead of time. If you are interested in
a wall portrait, it is helpful to decide where you would like to hang
it in your home, and measure the space it will cover.
What if don't
like anything I see?
We pride ourselves on creating images that you will love! Occasionally,
it does happen that someone will not want to purchase from a session.
This usually happens when the client doesn't like clothing selection
or the subject's hair. If you haven't had time to get the clothing you
want or can't seem to get the hair just right, we'll understand. It
will be far more desirable to reschedule rather than have us do the
session and you not like it. Your satisfaction is guaranteed. If you
simply cannot find an image you like, we will create additional poses
for you for a reduced fee.
Can I reorder
later?
Absolutely. Images that you have previously ordered from are filed
permanently. There is a retrieval fee of $25 after
one year from the date of session.
My in-laws are
coming to visit next month. Can they see the images?
Absolutely. Just call ahead for a viewing appointment.
How long does
it take to get my order?
Because of the custom nature of the product and the different finishes,
retouching, etc. that is done to the print, a delivery estimate may
be given at the time of the order. Simple orders may take only 2 weeks
and our painted images take 8-12 weeks. Most orders have a 3-4 week
estimate. When your portraits are ready, we call and ask if you need
a framing appointment: at which time, our framing specialist will meet
with you.
What if there
is a problem with my portraits?
Mistakes do happen and we try to correct them right away. If we cannot
correct the "problem" to your satisfaction, we'll refund your
money.
What are your
studio hours?
Our studio is open Tuesday - Friday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. On Saturdays
we are available by appointment only. If you need to come after 5:00
PM, after hours appointments are available on a limited basis.
